Here's some information regarding rank, and the rank icons.

Regular users: BLUE

Starts at nothing, then increases in size by increments of 25 up to 300, then jumps to 500, then 1000.
Full blue bar at 1000 posts.

Linkshell Members: PURPLE

LS Members: Full Purple Bar
LS Officers: Full Purple with "Moderator" underneath

Site Administrators: ORANGE

It's just different and stands out. Has "Administrator" underneath
